Missie

Atelier Noterman is your brand of choice for good trousers. We are proud of our products and proud of the way we manage the manufacturing process. A fair deal for everyone, that is what drives us, every day.

‘Making a good pair of trousers’ has always been the basic principle Atelier Noterman and mother company Novavo live by. But don’t be fooled: this motto isn’t as simple as it seems. Because, how do you define ‘good’? Good quality material, good fit, on-trend shape, a fun detail… this is what consumers expect and what we make happen, thanks to our expertise and our drive. However, there is so much more to a good pair of trousers. The way these trousers are produced is just as important. We know how, where and by whom our trousers are made.

Chino
The perfect all-rounder. A top-quality chino is a staple piece in your wardrobe. Firstly, a chino has to have the perfect fit, not too tight or too loose, but just right in the right places. Depending on what you combine a chino with, you can wear it both casually and dressed up.

Denim

Less water

Our Detox Denim is washed using hardly any water. In our Pizarro laundry we apply the Ozon fading technique: this process mimics sunlight, which gives denim trousers their well-known ‘washed’ look.

Less chemicals

Indigo is that emblematic colour of denim, that colour we all love. Unfortunately, it is indeed this dyeing process that can be very harmful to the environment, since the colour is the result of a chemical process using polyvinyl alcohol. In the case of Detox Denim this harmful PVA is replaced by Chitosan, a bio-degradable alternative made from the exoskeleton of crustaceans. Chitosan is 100% natural and non-toxic, limiting water usage, water pollution and energy usage.
